Best I can tell, there is no current antivirus for XP SP2 & the few choices want SP3. Have been able to remove the warning from the taskbar with old AV, but it won't update definitions. Josh * * *

Saga of Vista and Microsoft Security Essentials (using older 4.4.304.0) Found some pages Microsoft forgot to delete....probably be gone tomorrow now that I've posted it...lol: support.microsoft.com support.microsoft.com Today, this worked: (#5 with edit for Vista) Cd\ Cd program files\microsoft security essentials Mpcmdrun –removedefinitions –all On Vista, it's c:\program files\microsoft security client, then mpcmdrun -removedefinitions -all Then run update, worked this time, we'll check again later this week.... ymmv
