That is not exactly true. It is a two fold objective. They want to count the number of people AND citizens. Why? Because illegals are not entitled to representation in Congress and the census numbers are used to determine the number of congressional districts within a state. Cheating states like California which encourages illegals pick up congressional seats because of their large illegal population if the distinction is not made. .

As usual you twist the truth either intentionally or out of ignorance.

Let's call it 9 million people.

The most recent U.S. Census Bureau study factored in more recent American Community Survey data than it had used during its last report released last year. According to the Bureau’s calculations, a total 8.7 million people would be affected.

The findings of the new study are much more damning than a Census Bureau calculation last year which estimated a 5.8% undercount.
