So why do you fear the most accurate count possible?
You obviously weren't listening.

The question itself isn't going to lead to an inaccurate count. It's the ARTIFICIAL fears over said question that will lead to an inaccurate count.

And those fears are being stoked by the Democrats.

Like I said, there's nothing in that question that should be feared by non-citizens, legal or otherwise. It doesn't even ask you if you're here legally. It only asks you if you're a citizen.

Lots of non-citizens, especially green card holders, can answer that question truthfully and without any fear of prosecution.
