I still confused about EPS. Basic vs. Diluted. There's article in todays Wall Street Journal about confusion with IBMs numbers. Apparently IBM works with "basic" while analysts work with what used to be called "fully diluted". Apparently basic is not the same what used to be called "simple", and incorporates new accounting procedures. I know ALTR is down this morning but I still like the company. Earnings are up annually but down sequentially. I still don't know if the sequental downturn is due to new product rotation or Asia stuff. Neal M.
