Once you have downloaded mIRC, find the file and open it...it will then install. Once installed, click on the icon which is created. After answering a few questions the setting menu will come up. Fill in your info including your name, your nick, your email...etc. (For nick, please use the same one you use here on SI) Next...click on OK. Now you will see a blank box where you can enter text. Enter the following: /server irc.dal.net Once connected it will ask for the channel you would like to enter. Enter the following channel: famh Now, if it is before 6:00PM on Thursday, it will automaticly kick you out saying you are restricted. If this happens...everything is perfect. When you come back Thursday at 6:00PM, it will let you in. Any problems??? email me.....THQ@prodigy.net JL

FAMH CHAT TOMORROW FOR SURE AT 8PM! If you are interesting in joining us. You must download mIRC... mirc.co.uk Then at 8PM tomorrow (Friday the 23rd of 1998), log onto DAL NET (irc.dal.net). Then simply enter the channel-famh. It is that simple! It was originally scheduled for 6PM today but as I was moving my computer upstairs...I lost my keyboard converter. Without it my keyboard can't plug in. I went to Office Depot, Radio Shack, Service Merchandise, Computer City, Office Max, and Staples but they didn't carry them. Finally I paid $12 for one at CompUSA (the same brand but the wrong fit at Office Max was only $3). It was 7PM and I was too late to open the chat room. So tomorrow, I am prepared for such an event. That's why the chat will start at 8PM tomorrow (the room will open before then). I am sincerly sorry for all the confusion. Tomorrow will be one hell of a day. JL
