I have spent about 50 years trying to figure out how to solve the educational problem and we are beaten on a macro level, IMO. Your school system can be helped at a Micro level, but it will take time and effort. The teachers, administrators, and State Pols have done their best to emasculate the School Board but some help will work at that level. First, you must get a majority slate elected to the board. You can't change the Liberal school teachers you will get, same with the admin, but you can control the text books used. Make them teach from conservative text books. Other local moves at this level will also help. Make them teach fundamentals.
