We really ARE talking glass and Lucite, then. Except for surfing the Internet, I'm still happily enscounced in the World of DOS. I never have tried any Windows version of MYM. But all is not lost; you now know that the DOS versions also are very sloooooow in loading.

You mean to tell me that MYM hasn't gone to CD-ROM as an installation medium option? That IS odd. Their software capabilities have always been so much on the forefront and way ahead of their nearest competitor, IMHO.

BTW, MYM's DOS version 10.0 came on three HD floppies. That right there says a lot to me about Windows and bloated code.

p.s. I just read your post to Beavis, the one just previous to this post. My considered opinion is that over the past seven years or so, an awful lot of very good to excellent software and software companies have fallen by the wayside and been trampled out of existence. I still use quite a few of these programs.

When you speak of hardware platforms, things become a bit murkier. I do wonder if I upgrade to a 300 mhz system whether I will still be able to run my beloved down-and-dirty DOS stuff. I say, at least bring back the turbo switch.
