Hey Franklin the call was quite clear....revenues up at least 30% earnings up more than that, these were baseline numbers. Margins to stay at about the current levels. The verbage in your post is somewhat unclear. This was the best conference call this company has done. A succint review of the quarter just concluded, some guidance with respect to the forthcoming quarter, an overview of expectations for fiscal 1998....Guidance with respect to op ex, the new facility in China, the startup of the LCOS/NSM business, expectations for Lcid. Let's not criticize how DRB treated the telephone operator....The guy made a tremendous improvement, fantastic improvement, and he addressed all the things he should have. The only thing you did not get in this call was a...sticker and a lollipop to take home with you. Have a great night

Frank,

I heard the conference call start to finish. I think you are reacting a bit too much about the "operator" issue. I felt Mr. B. was just directing the operator in an appropriate manner how to handle calls from that point on, ie: lets make sure the questioner has the answer he/she needs before we move on to the next question.

You are right: there were one or two times where I got a bit lost and others did repeat questions about, for example, the revenue growth vs margin growth. As you say, Mr. B. was thinking on his feet and rounding up all relevant thoughts as he went.

Overall, I felt very encouraged by the call, the confidence, the candor and the tenor of all the speakers, and I am more convinced than ever that if this stock does not go up soon some smart company is going to offer us a bunch of money to buy the whole damned thing.
