My most novel job as a kid was shining shoes in a barber shop
My dad was a barber growing up and I did the same thing in his shop. I made a good amount of money shining shoes. I think it was a quarter back then and most times we would get a quarter tip if we didn't get shoe polish on their socks. My brother and I would alternate days. Good memories.

We were fortunate to have a nearby private golf course for caddying when we got old enough. Did it for many summers and wound up to be one of the lucky ones to get the Evans Scholarship that paid for college. Until this day, I still don't golf. Hated it!
