Hi Frank, I do not recall if they were canary yellow(dark yellow)but at the time I understood that they were yellow & clear with no inclusions,.. they could have been transported there by glacier movement, one theory of C.F.'s when he found them. A lot of the junior's are coming up with an incredible number of targets!! In the next week things should look very interesting,Ie;more junior's to drill, and a start of constant news flow,...in watching the latest new/r from Ashton I would just like to say that Ashton did not priortize these targets,.. as was done on the BHP/Diamet JV. The targets in Lac De Gras were delineated and graded using a very specific science (pioneered by Gurney)then taken to an extremely higher level by C.Fipke. It involved following the mineral dispersion trains back to the Kimberlite targets,...and by taking and analyzing specific properties contained in the mineral till samples,Ie; G-10,.. G-11's Garnets as well as certain specific chromium diopsides,to name a few ,and in finding certain combinations of these correct ingredients ,,..actually understand if a target could be diamondiferous before drilling!!!! In Alberta apparently this is not possible as there is to much overburden so the mineral trains have been disrupted or depleted. Plus the NWT. kimberlites were perioditic ,and Alberta is apparently (not confirmed)eclogitic so the same geophysical properties Ie; indicator mineral analysis may not comply. So the process of finding an economic target in Alberta is probally only possible as J.Kaiser extrapolates,..by the process of strict elimination by drilling and analizing all targets found. So Ashton has been extremely successful I believe, in a short period of time. Cheers! And good luck to all! Mackle.
