Steve; RE:" GazProm "

We've got three OSX.X sub-sectors to think about - I divide them up as OSX.D Drillers; OSX.M Machinery & Equipment; and OSX.S Services. They are all (fundamentally) sound, IMHO. The stocks, OTOH are real momentum-player favourites, and never seem to settle down for long.

I think what concerns all the cowboyz in this sector the most is the price of crude - don't you ?

At some point, the rig count will be affected by cheap oil (anybody keeping a chart of this? we used to have to go down to the courthouse in Houston every week to get these data - they're in the paper now, I believe).

Stability at GazProm is good news for all oil-men, everywhere.
But we ain't goin' nowhere in '98 if everybody is gonna dump crude for hard currency. Oil Biz 101, cowboys - cap 'em and wait.
