Mark,

Believe me. APM is WAY behind RDRT and SEG re: MR head process design and yields. I appreciate the tone of your post and I wish you the best. I am not an APM short, other then I do not own any, but I see them severely crippled in the race.
best,
Stitch

I didn't catch the SEG OEM exit announcement, but I never
could see SEG as a comfortable OEM head supplier, at least not
comfortable to their customers.

The thing that made me exit APM was that there's no backup
plan that I can see. The farm is bet on the MR transition
success, the TFI residual is dust, the yields are poor,
and where they are is murky.

I'll reenter in a few months, I think--jeesh! you can by
the whole market with 2 to 4 stocks. In 6 months, probably,
everybody will be backlogged.

I'd like to point out that this exceeds APM's loss of 1.67.

I was about to post that myself Mark. Additionally, RDRT loss is made up entirely of one time charges. APM had charges also, but much less. Seems APM is taking the hit like a man.

So APM is completing it's MR transition in phase with not only RDRT, but with SEG.

Honestly Mark, that's a rediculous statment. For one thing RDRT actually has some MR customers.

Mark -

Do yourself a favor and listen to the RDRT CC. It'll be a nice way to cushion the blow when APM announces the same. At least you will have heard it all before. Listen and take notes. You'll learn a lot. The losses are primarily write-offs of assets and inventory.

Then listen to the SEG call again. Even SEG is struggling in heads, Then WDC next week. TFI is dead, gone, history, outahere. Of the current assets and inventory at APM, how much do you really think can produce 2.8GB MR??? What will be the write-offs once they admit the extent of the problems.

Your only hope is that someone buys APM...
