We learned by accident. She left her phone on in the kitchen since an update was pending. We heard one or more reboots. Then a little later we started hearing different sounds coming from her phone while watching tv. She's very active on twitter, fakebook and emails. All different bells, knocks, tones for announcements. That's how we knew it was the update that did it.

My phone seems to be limited to just turning the volume off and some notifications sounds off. Really annoying but.

I wondered if some lazy tech just copied his private settings into the update to save time.
