Does anyone think that this stock will ever break the $27 resistance level. And, how about a time period? Does anyone see ATHM as a 30+ stock in 1998?

Viable means capable of developing under favorable conditions. DSL was viable but the conditions are no longer favorable because if necessary ,like the RBOCs, the cable companies will drop the monthly rate to pull the rug out from favorability. All 4000 sites will convert to cable sooner or later. Technological advances are cheaper in scale with cable. That means the cost to develop the capability to transfer at 30mbps is proportional to the speed improvement. With DSL the cost if infinite because it isn't possible to reach those speeds in copper. The cost to go to 3mbps is exponential whereas the cost to improve the cable transfer to 10 mbps is linear with speed. It may take a while, but cable will totally win like telephone totally won over telegraph.
