ECM EARNINGS WATCH I put together the following table based upon sources listed below. NOTE: I've changed the source for estimated earnings and the resulting earnings surprise figures.# I'm told that my previous source (Zacks) is still using the "primary" EPS for estimates, not "diluted" EPS per the new accounting standard FAS-128, while all the actual earnings I report here are "diluted" EPS. # I cannot compute many of the older EPS surprise figures since older estimates are not available any longer from this new source. CAUTION! These info sources are not always correct! REPORT DATES: pathfinder.com * Report Dates provided by the company have an asterisk. Reports are generally released after market close on given date. & Reports to be released before market close have an ampersand. % HADCO said they have no specific date yet: mid-late Feb. @ DSSI said its to be the end of March (no specific date). ! NTAIF had a press release 1/20/98 and will have a preliminary Q4 report (with approximate sales and EPS) out by 1/27/98. EPS EST. - I/B/E/S Estimated EPS or percent surprise. M - Management competence rating. PRICE - Recent price of stock (e.g., 10+31 means $10+31/32). COMP INFO - Contact information. + Can anyone add a marker in the last column to indicate the type of ECM company? Thus, you might use a [1] to indicate a PCB maker, or a [2] to indicate a box assembler, etc. Some companies may fall into more than one category and footnotes may be needed to clarify certain categorizations. Hey, I'd take a stab at this myself but I don't even know what categories to choose! + Also, feel free to extend/update/correct this table. In particular, release dates not marked by an asterisk need to be confirmed/corrected by calling the company.
