Why would you want to get rid of a cable modem to switch to adsl?

What do you think of the service you get with the cable modem and who is it with?

TIA

Ken...I saw on a ZD net article today a telecomunications research firm (can't remember the name of it) said even in the light of the recent announcement of MSFT, INTC and CPQ teaming together to create modems for direct hook-up to the internet over telephone lines it may be awhile before it can be implemented.....They stated cable companies are 2-3 years ahead in their rollout and more aggressive in wanting to implement intternet communications than the telephone companies.......Don't disconnect your cable modem just yet........George
