re: the way you answered those questions reveals you didn't read the announcement they made or anything else today. you only heard stuff you wnated to.the earnings were a record. the unit growth was 50+% I read several reports that stated that CPQ did not meet Revenue Estimates. Yes it was a good quarter. CPQ would not talk about channel inventory. CPQ lost their northamerican sales chief. CPQ announced price cuts on selected models, Desk top and notebook . "The Special Promotion Prices offer additional savings on the TBP1 and are available now from participation resellers until 31st march 1998." That is from the release. I read that there are some models in channel inventory that need to be moved. CPQ will not comment on channel inventory, Looks fishy to me. I am out of the stock from the move today, That does not mean that I don't think it should go down. BTW H&Q downgraded from buy to hold. I guess I am not the only one that thought there was a little to be desired on the whole thing. I hope that this does not bother you. Jim
