Japan's Prime Minister Calls Rubin's Remarks "Simplistic" biz.yahoo.com Not much of an article, but it bears repeating: Japan has every incentive to take us down with them if need be. They can sell dollars, sell treasuries or buy gold, all of which would improve their economy without taxing Japanese, without using Japanese public funds, and without devaluing Japanese savings. That's why I'm not a member of the as Japan goes so will gold camp.
