Speaking of power failures.. I've been thinking about these PG&E threats to turn off whole cities for up to 3 days this summer because they didn't spend the ratepayer's money designated for transmission line safety but instead on bonuses, salaries PR, manipulation of the CPUCand politicians etc. as well as their private jets and executive cafeterias with private chefs... Think of all the public's refrigerated goods and ummmmm... important indoor crops that could be lost. Also, the carbon footprint of the backup generators people are buying.
