Gary - This isn't your Thread!! Shut Up for a while...

You interupted an informative dialogue...

I don't care how good you can paste volume through out the day, it just isn't worth it to have you trying to shut everyone else out.

Even Rocky isn't as annoying as you...

Gary, you really are being too arrogant and argumentative.

Oh No - not during earnings week. It takes enough time to go through all of my holdings' message boards this time of the quarter without again reading hundreds of posts about what should be posted here. I hate to sound like RK, but can't there be some agreement that, even if you plan to leave all of your IOM shares to your progeny, the hourly volume info is at least interesting and educational? And can those of you who view holding IOM until Valentine's Day as a long-term proposition please recognize that, among those of us who entertain the possibility of keeping our shares for at least a couple years, the most valuable posts are discussions like those Ira initiated regarding opinions on the prospects of Clik!?

<Not angry, just honest. Wanna try again?>

Clip number two

<However, the difference between my posts and those
like the ones on Sony is that there are those that are interested in why the stock moves as it does.>

Gary,

While you supply information that I enjoy, you also waste a tremendous amount of my time with all of your self rightous crap and posts that contain no useful information at all. Go back and read your own posts. As a pedaphile/singer once said, "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and MAKE A CHANGE". Or something like that. I value everyones input when it pertains to IOM. I don't agree with all of it but that is not the point. This is how we will be first alerted to any potential problem with our beloved.

>>>Nothing else is relevant.<<<

>>>However, to me (and others) it is nothing more than mental masturbation. Who really cares what you think about Sony? Who really cares about your opinion of CD-R?<<<

>>>IMHO, no one cares about speculation as to what may or may not happen from those that aren't privy to the actual plans of Iomega.<<<

>>>However, nothing I have ever read on this thread regarding Sony, Nomai, CD-R, or rivets has ever been worth the cyberspace it was written on.<<<

Gary, This thread belongs to everyone here who participates and contributes. It involves the varied interests of many individuals. While the thread is often a fast source of factual information regarding IOM, that type of information can in most cases be resourced elsewhere.

What can't easily be found elsewhere and what is most interesting to me are the thoughts, comments and opinions of others. The price of a stock is not determined solely on facts and figures. The emotions of investors play a role. To understand their concerns and the factors that cause them to buy, sell and hold a stock are areas I want to know about. This involves speculation.

I made my sarcastic comment to you because, frankly I thought it was rude of you to say "WHO CARES?" in regards to the Sony HiFD discussion we were having. While you may not be interested, it is a relevant topic as far as IOM goes. I believe most people here simply skip over any topics that don't interest them without making comments like yours.

Now that I've read your response to my response, It's clear to me how little you think of the many contributors who've posted their opinions regarding "Sony, Nomai, CD-R, or rivets" or similar topics.

While I believe you've contributed to this thread in a number of positive ways, your recent comments miss the mark.

Regards - Dale

Gary -

I happen to think that if a discussion about a competitor's merits vs. and Iomega product leads me to better estimate the competitor's chances in the marketplace, then I have a better idea of whether to buy, hold or sell.

That's why I participate in such discussions.

You're entitled to your own opinion, of course.

BTW, I also get a lot out of the discussions of volume, fundamentals, charts, nefarious behavior by specialists, options strategies, etc. I think there's room on this Mother of All Threads for both.
