Deep-Digm, pardon me for jumping in. Your logic for holding a long position in Zitel makes sense as a speculation. With all the public information available, Zitel is a company in trouble. However, there is a chance that they will hit the jackpot with a big contract and the stock will run up. The question is how likely is a big contract. IMO, its a very low probability given all we know about Zitel, Matridigm and their product. So I believe you're Zitel bet carries a very high risk and is therefore speculation. Speculation is ok as long as you are using risk capital (that which you can afford to lose totally). I am short on Zitel and I consider my position more of an investment than a speculation because its going with Zitel's historic trend and past performance rather than against it.

Hi, Back in Oct 96 I bought Zitel @ 40 based on Emerald Research's web information and what I felt was a real issue regarding the 2000 computer problem. In a short time the price when to 46, split 2 for 1, and took off to 72. The day it reached 72 (Dec 31, 1996 I believe), was one wild stock ride. If I didn't have my son paging me with the rapid changes that day I would of lost a small fortune. I was able to bail at 56 and and haven't looked back. I hope the company can start getting contracts as we hoped a year or so ago. If so you may be right. This sucker can move like a rocket! Best of luck to all the longs. Cheers, Mark
