Trump Didn’t Invite Lead Author to 9/11 Bill Ceremony

President Donald Trump on Monday signed into law a permanent extension of the 9/11 fund, which would guarantee compensation for victims and responders. It marked a capstone to a massive legislative push that involved moving testimony from survivors, impassioned advocacy from responders, and a bipartisan lift from lawmakers. But at the signing ceremony at the White House, there was a notable absence: No Democrats were in attendance. Trump had invited eight members of Congress in total. All of them were Republicans, including Sen. Deb Fischer, from Nebraska. This was by design. Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) was the lead author of the 9/11 fund bill. But a spokesperson for her office confirmed to The Daily Beast that she was not invited to the event. Her collaborator on the measure, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) was, by contrast, at the signing ceremony, his office confirmed. A source familiar with the invitations said that both Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, both of New York, were invited to the ceremony. But the invitation came at 12:25 a.m. on Saturday.

The lying President also claimed to have been a first responder himself. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't try to grab some of the funds for himself. He actually did this before, claiming a share of funds raised to help small businesses in the area.

That was a terrible tragedy. I have friends that live near there and one who was actually there. Our country is being divided into extremist groups and more and more people are being radicalized. Do you think Maxine Waters, AOC, Ayanna Pressley, Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar are helping to calm people down or are they continuing the process of radicalization of more people? Radical leaders lead more people on both sides to be radical.

BTW, what else do we know about Santino William Legan? That sounds like a mixed race name to me. Possibly, he is a mestizo. Strange that he'd be anti-mestizo and anti-semitic. We'll have to see how this story plays out, because the fake news is in full spin mode right now. Remember, it was the fake news that tried to sell us the story that a white man told Cobb Country Representative Erica Williams to "go back to where she came from". After real journalists looked into it, witnesses said that Erica was heard telling the man to "go back where he came from" and the man was not white but of Cuban descent.

So you know as well as I do that early reports are very sketchy and not very reliable. Better to wait until the truth comes out on this guy, before any of us jump to conclusions. All we know for sure is that kids are dead and something is very broken in our country.
