Longnshort, how about Texas pass a law saying that anyone caught lying about their heritage can be disqualified from the primary ballot?

Maybe Maryland can pass a law saying that anyone who calls Baltimore a "rat infested hellhole" is guilty of slander and should be disqualified from the primary ballot.

And Florida can pass a law saying that anyone who doesn't pay their legislators $10M each should not be allowed to be on the ballot.

According to Antifamar, there's no reason why state legislatures can't add their own requirements to becoming president.

There are only two reasons why there isn't an uproar over this stupid California law:

1) California has a reputation for passing really stupid laws, even by liberal standards.

2) #orangemanbad
