All -- well, it seems to hold ever true that there is no such thing as a day so good that the sand can't fly in the IOM sandbox. Oh, that we could all chill our egos while we share our insights and questions.

Re: Sony.... KE said in the last CC that there where inherent technical pitfalls in the road Sony was taking. He said he knew 'cause IOM had tossed some R&D dinero that direction and had come up with too many indicators which suggested itwas best to find another route. He further stated that he wan't about to tip off Sony as to the problems by discussing it in more detail at that point.

I am hoping that he will elaborate futher on this during tomorrow's CC. Was he blowing smoke last Q, or are there really inherent tech pitfalls in Sony's path?

Re: Compaq, Intel, M-soft, and phone companies consortium announcement..... any thoughts on their announced plans to have conusmer hard/software on the market by next Christmas for ADSL on POTS? 1.5 million bits be sec?!!! just gotta say uff da to that.... remember when IOM was always talking about being the *Cathcher's Mitt* of the internet. WOW, that'd be a lot of stuff to catch...... SMOKIN'!

Re: thin skinned thread attitudes.... wish some of you could spend the day abusing the bumps and powder with me in some of the best sunshine and fresh air in the world! does wonders for the attitude! imho......At least go take a walk and don't pissy post again until you've given three sincere and unexpected compliments to strangers.
DO IT!
