These photos are from the district of Senator Mitch McConnell, the Speaker of the House and one of the wealthiest senators in congress. He represents these people of the Appalachian region in Kentucky--which has received many billions of dollars over the years. Some of these people are still using outhouses, have no inside plumbing or electricity, some have no insulation or even siding on their makeshift homes.
