Regardless of who is in power, the UK will have contractual ties to the EU in the future. If Boris thinks that he can crash out of the EU without negotiating them beforehand, than it’s his choice and the UK has to bear the consequences. That has nothing to do with the mandate to leave. May had to be replaced, because she couldn’t get consensus, but Boris was never on the election ticket either (May was), so I don’t think it is totally presumptuous to expect new elections. Those would need to be after October,( the crash out date), since there isn’t enough time beforehand.

I am sure the Brits know how to handle this , they have got a few centuries of experience :-).
