yeah MK, I always am kicking myself for what I shoulda done....I still have a big chunk of PSIX, in fact have as much PSIX as I did NETC so I am kinda happy with the surprise bid, hoping it brings in the real bidders to ante up, maybe see $12-15, though 400 mill. seems pretty fair for PSIX, comparing NETC at 280mil(?) and BBN for 600 mill(?)

Maybe this will make up for some of my SPYG losses, blew a big wad on my Jan calls that expired worth a big goose egg.

Been studying up on MICA, Rich. Don't see why this stock trades below book, I love stocks that do that. Given a little time valuation always improves. We'll see.....

Sorry to have been away so long guys, I was in Tibet on a mountain finding myself.

cheerio,

MK, either nobody in major media is picking up on the "news" on PSIX, or they've decided it's a non-development. Steve Harmon's column mentions the jump yesterday, but not the supposed offer and then downplays PSIX' prospects.

isdex.yahoo.com

I'm expecting the stock to drop back today. I actually bought a little yesterday when the story came out, but too late. Then, when I reread it several more times, decided I had made a rash and probably idiotic move and sold. Ate a few bucks of commissions, but no damage done. Of course, I'll be crying in my beer -er- coffee if it goes up much this morning, but the risk of the "offer" being debunked or simply dismissed seemed too great. With no other news services picking up on it, my doubts are greater now.

Re ADSL, BellSouth may be nabbing me from MSPG as soon as they roll it out (assuming the pricing isn't totally outrageous). I guess I can give my new X2 modem to some school or charity.

Bob

UPDATE: At 9:32, ask on PSIX is 7 3/8
