What really makes PII-300 faster than K6-266 cames from the faster L2 cache (150Mhz) of PII against the slower L2 cache (66Mhz) on K6-266. When K6-300 runs on 100Mhz bus speed, users would never be able to tell the difference between PII-300 and K6-300.

I saw quite a few K6-266 on Computer shopper. Another good sign and reason to accumulate more AMD.
