I don't understand why a President should be impeached for having an affair with a woman, Christine! GAWD! They have all had affairs. FDR did it with Lucy what's her name when FDR was in a wheel chair!!! I'm also suspicious of T and L's motivation. According to NBC news, the 21-year old was hardly naive. I understand she liked to flirt. I don't know if I believe there was a cover-up. What was Tripp's motive for taping the woman, in the young woman in the first place???? Christine, this "young woman" had been around the White House for quite sometime. Why on earth would she panic over an old affair with Clinton???? All she had to do was deny it? And she denied it! And if she turns around and admits that she and Clinton had an affair Why should be believe her new story? Christine,I'm only asking questions that come to mind. I am not trying to defend the Prez because he is the Prez. I do not have enough information to form a conclusion.

So Clinton sleeps around. We already knew that. So what? A great many other presidents (and less exalted people) have done the same. This is supposed to be grounds for IMPEACHMENT? What have we come to? Last I heard, consensual affairs were not illegal. Okay, he has deplorable taste in mistresses, but then so did John Kennedy. Roosevelt and Eisenhower had more class, but then they seem not to have been attracted to bimbos. I feel strongly that there should be a statute of limitations on the prosecution of sexual harrassment allegations: if you don't report it within, say, six months, forget it. Paula Jones, like Gennifer Flowers in the past, is in this for the publicity and the money (and she does) keep asking for more, doesn't she?). A contemptible creature.
