Globe says court decision could be made within two weeks Crystallex International Corporation KRY Shares issued 28224929 1998-01-21 close $5.9 Thursday Jan 22 1998 Also Placer Dome Inc (PDG) The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, January 22, edition that the Venezuelan court had been expected to make a ruling last week on whether to hear claims by Crystallex, but announced a delay instead. The Globe's Market movers column reports that the court said a decision was possible in two weeks. The court is reviewing a July decision rejecting Crystallex's claim to the Las Christinas gold deposits while agreeing to hear its claims for the copper contained at the property. Canaccord Capital analyst Larry Strauss says it's a prudent step for Placer Dome to delay construction since the risks of constructing a mine without clear title are great.
