John, this is not directly aimed at you, but I am amazed at the pessimism on this thread. Two conference calls ago, TPRO said that they did not expect significant Y2k revenue until the third quarter. Last conference call, they said that they were happy that they were going to be able to achieve Y2K revenue in the second quarter. Since then, they announced the BMY contract, quite a good proof of concept plus their alliances with AON. If investors are expecting great earnings for this quarter, I am sure that they will be dissapointed because it is at least a quarter too early. The CD did not ship until Nov 15. If companies are given a 60 day trial, then any CD revenue will not show up until the third quarter. While the price action of TPRO has been dissapointing, there is no indication that the story behind this stock has changed. In fact, the recognizion of the embedded chip problem has clearly received more publicity. If you look at IMRS, it went from 39 to 19 to 41 in around two months. Clearly the market is not always rational. Even if TPRO receives a hit from their next earning report, I still think that this company is providing a service that is needed by factories. While it is hard to be an investor when a stock does not perform as expected, perfect market timing is almost impossible to achieve. This story is not completely relevant, but I remember back in the end of 95 and the beginning of 96 when I bought INTCW. I first paid 35 and then paid 27(pre-split). It went down to 22 and I really began to question myself. Now clearly I could have sold and bought back when it started to move, but I didn't. I held on and the stock ran from 22 to 160. Unfortunately it has significantly pulled back from its highs, but this is due to other factors that are not important for this example. I believe that if a concept is correct, the market will eventually recognize the true value of a company. Hopefully all the DD on TPRO done by very smart members of this thread is not hype, but is clear thinking that is ahead of the curve. I am still a strong believer in the story of this stock and am willing to wait until at least the third quarter earnings report before I question my logic. Best wishes, Dan
