Your response edits out most of my post

As I customarily do as a courtesy, I included a small snip of your post as a seque simply to provide context for my comments. I was not ignoring the rest of your post.

You are misquoting me. I didn't respond none as you state.

I did not intend that as a quote. Instead of none, in quotes, I should have written "effectively none" (without the quotation marks). My bad. Sorry about any confusion.

Despite the brevity of my segue and my use of quotes, I assure you I understood what you wrote the first time.

The 'end' is to elicit from the trio "precisely what actions they will take to prevent further slaughters" as written in my original post.
As you have simply repeated your original stated desire, if you care to continue this, my original question remains. To what end? If you really see the end as them eliciting that information, it looks like you want them to tell you so you would feel satisfied that you know.

I deliberately asked an open-ended question not wanting my question to be taken as a challenge or to constrain your response. Maybe I should be more direct about why I asked. It's because it is not intuitively obvious to me what good what you propose would do. Further, I would imagine that being put on the spot would make a difficult situation even more difficult for them in various ways. So I don't get what it is that you're after and I remain curious about why you would advocate it.

My own sense is that there's probably nothing that they are in a position to do "to prevent further slaughter" short of helping the D's win in 2020. If there is something else they can do, it would probably be either strategic or behind the scenes and so it would be counterproductive for them to announce it on national TV. Seems to me that the one who might better tasked with productively answering your question would be McConnell.
