I really don’t know the arguments pro and con on weapons. But whatever is done in this regard (as for most legislation), I believe Congress should show with cogent analysis how it will help, not mere political argument. Show me the numbers.

And if it is later shown it didn’t help, perhaps in five years the law should sunset. Every five years.

I don’t really believe laws that restrict the rights of individuals should exist unless there is a reason.
