Good morning UE,

U.S.

I'm hoping to buy XOM at its recent low of $64.65.

XOM pays a $3.48 dividend. That gives a yield of 5.38.
XOM looks to be finishing up a C wave of a corrective ABC wave that started back in 9/25/18 at the high of $87.36.

screencast.com

I would greatly value your read on this move.

TIA

Bob

CDN: Picking Gold Stock for the Canadian Stock Portfolio

The Canadian markets are closed today because of the holiday

as a result that order I created for Centerra Gold will be effective tomorrow at the opening.

I looked at the American listing of Kirkland Lake to see what is happening to it and so far it looks good. I may modify my Canadian bid if it looks like it will rise to high because of today in the USA..

we shall see.

CDN: Picking Gold Stock for the Canadian Stock Portfolio - Continued

Our stock did not trade today since it was a holiday in Canada, so I took a look at the price of Gold from today

A very nice 1.30% gain today... not only that but look at the Slow Sto, MACD and BBWidth... definite confirmation of the start of a Bullish breakout

So we should see a pretty good day tomorrow.

I took a look at the OTCB listing of Centerra Gold to see how it did today and the result is a bit confusing.
look at this comparison

It is not a perfect match as the USA has an extra day. But you can definitely see that the USA stock tracked the Canadian one.

You can also see how lightly traded the CADGF stock is traded. Only 82,000 shares traded today and one period accounted for about 50,000 of them..... the previous days had maybe 20,000 shares per day traded.
The Canadian stock by comparison has about 1 million or more shares traded per day

So I would not place a lot of faith in that decline in share price of CADGF because it was acting on its own and not driven by the Canadian stock reaction.

In fact I am a bit worried that our bid may be too low. It is $0.06 above the previous close so maybe it will start lower and we will get it cheaper yet since our order is before the Bell and if at first the price may drop and then rise

It will be an interesting day tomorrow

CDN: We have added Centerra Gold to our Fantasy Canadian Portfolio

Effective at the Market opening on Aug 6 (it is a holiday in Canada on the Aug 5... if Canadian markets are open on Aug 5 then we want the order to be effective then) and lasting for 5 days

Buy 2000 shares of Centerra Gold @ $10.88/ share.
Here is today's chart:

The order would have been filled right at the Bell this morning if it had been a real order.

Now we can concentrate on the next stock... I am think of something in the financial sector.

I also got to find an American ... that is more difficult for me actually

Good first stock... We have made almost 2% already on it.
