The El Paso shooter was able to arm himself and drive 9 hours to find a walmart filled with hispanic parents shopping for school. He could certainly function in society.

Legally it would matter if he were labeled mentally ill, but apart from that his mental state doesn't matter, imo.

Sorry, but mass shooting of strangers is not mental illness.
Some of these shootings were done by mentally ill people, that's true.

But others are done on racial, nationalist or ideological ground by fully rational cold-blooded murderers who by any reasonable criteria are mentally healthy.

It's so easy to write off mass shootings like "He is just crazy".
It's just not true.
Yes, some of mass shootings are quite rational.
