Gottfried, OT,

>geek \gek\ n : a person often of an intellectual bent
> who is disapproved of. geeky adj (C)

This gal told me to "get bent" once. I thought it was an
insult until I noticed the thick glasses and pocket protector
she was wearing...(but then she said my first instinct was right)

On Topic, like anyone gives a rat's @ss, I like the tech info, both
about the products AND the trading.

The superbowl ad better be something special. I want to see us at the Clio Awards...

<<Just wondering: why do we call the engineers and technicians who
make it all possible "technogeeks" - a derogatory term, but the
investors who create no value for others "investment wizards" -
a flattering term? Please see definition below...>>

The term "geek" can be complimentary or derogatory, depending on who is using it. I am a geek, so when I refer to my colleagues as geeks, I am using it as a term of respect. To a geek, there is no greater compliment than being called a geek by your peers. If a non-geek calls me a geek, however, it is generally viewed as disrespectful.

You are sadly mistaken to think that investors add no value. This is economics 101. Investors are the one who delay gratification and provide capital for the engineers/ entrepenuers. Investors assume risk by investing their capital in these ventures and projects to allow it to happen. One cannot be successful without the other. As to the term geek- its applied to "market geeks" as well. Just my $0.02.
