Hi sycnhro. Yes funny how Ms. Manners suddenly shows up on the forum - must be celestial related... :-)

RE: Turbo Pascal 3.0 is still a stunning piece of software engineering elegance. And then there was Delphi. Talk about stunning piece of engineering elegance.

I saw this question as part of a larger survey that showed BORL had the highest loyalty amongst developers, well ahead of MSFT loyalty etc.

The issue with giving BORL products the benefit of the doubt is certainly true. My suspicion is once BORL moves into the enterprise we should definitely be getting the benefit of any doubt (if any doubt were to exist!). Low end - VB still is popular. Perhaps at very low end because of integration with MS Office. And tough to dislodge 2,000,000 seats. But the enterprise is relatively new and robust tools are needed. And tools that can scale. And tools that enable RAD. BORL's tools are the right fit for the new computing age - RADical RAD.
