I second the request for some education.
What good is dollar volume?
What does it tell you and how does it tell you?

Is it possible to get a good enough approximation of dollar volume from a 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minute chart by drawing a horizontal line dividing the area under the graph in half, and multiply that price by the total volume for that area?

And for everyone's info, here are links I like for charts.

Live Charts - chart plus last 12 trades (updated automatically with a 20 minute delay) - quote.com

IQ Chart - chart with Vol, BB, RSI, Stochastics and Momentum -

PC Quote - very flexible chart (has logorithmic scale) with volume bar colored for up or down intervals -
pcquote.com

chart with news and split markers - quicken.com

Well, let me say first I am not into arguments of this
kind because it is not very productive overall.
Once last year I got into an argument with (you know
who) and regretted ever since. I have decided
not to get into that trap ever again. Thank you
for your reply.
