I just talked to an old colleague of mine at Sapiens. He is a senior R&D engineer and works for the company in Israel. He is now in France working and setting up one of Sapiens' customer's client-server applications. As far as he can tell things are just going fine and extremely well and nothing to worry about. he said they have more work than they can handle, and the demand for their products (especially on the consulting, service and maintenance contracts is running very high). I aksed him about the recent decline in the price and he could not make any sense out of it either. But he said the company has never ever been in a better shape that it is today. He said moral is at its all time high within the company (as far as he could tell) and everyone is extremely optimistic about company's prospects. He thinks strongly any decline in the price of the stock under $7 is a blessing from the sky to buy more!

Eventhough he is just an engineer and works in the R&D which makes him not to know exactly what is going on at the top, it made me feel very very very good and relax about how most employees feel from within the company. Therefore I do not feel any more as concerned as I was before about the stock price decline and now am inclined stronger than before to believe that the price will go back up strongly once the earnings come out.

As always just my humble opinion.

I have no idea what you mean. Sapiens has had 2 strong buys for about 8 months now and nothing has changed (i.e. only 2 analysts are following the stock and both continue to have the stock as strong buy). Just go to quote.yahoo.com, enter the symbol SPNSF and then click on research, the 2 Strong Buys are still there.

You know, there is another stock that has had a similar pattern as SPNSF (although in a completely different industry). Qualcomm (QCOM) recently came down from its recent highs of high $60's to the $46 range, and I kept following it (I do not own the stock), and wondered why is this stock coming down so fast without any apparent news! Until late yesterday they reported their earnings and it was a very impressive report! It took only 8 hours for the stock to gain close to $7 in a market that was broadly down big time! The reason for the slide in price prior to today was the assumption that the company had too much exposure to the South East Asia and a strong dollar. Well, it ended up that the company did very well in Europe (as so many other high tech firms).

I am now more than ever convinced that Sapiens will just do fine and eventhough its Asian revenue may not be as spectacular as everyone had thought, I think they will show a very healthy business in Europe and in the US. We will certainly find out in about 2 weeks from today.
