puri, cpq did not have an internal goal of 3-4 weeks.
no where did cpq ever state this. cpq it's stupid enough to implement all these systems with inventory that low.
maybe 4-5 weeks,,,not lower. remember they are taking the dealer count down from 5000 to about 400. this means the 400 carry allot more inventory but cpq eventually ends up with 2-3 weeks in 3q98
they stated that in 3q98 they would be to 2-3 weeks.that's it.

looks like cpq inventory is between 4-5 weeks which is 50% yr to yr redcution.and mfg inv turns are up 50% .
that's why cpq has 6+b in cash
