Blank, You may be just a little to optimist here:) either way,we are not even out of January and things I "feel" are looking up for all of us.

That said, knowing everything we know abot VVUS can you see VVUS at 23.5 by 12/30/98...I can, and 74% return is not bad...all IMO.

Keep up the great work people!

blankmind, I suspect a lot of the short sellers are the SAME Institutions that originally bought the stock. What they do is simply jerk it up and then jerk it down, trying to shake little investors pockets free of cash in the while. I suspect same process has restarted at 10 now although with the upcoming good news it would be dangerous to increase your short on Vivus and so I doubt they will try. Shorts have to be carefull also by " wild " public's reactions like yesterday [(" they are wiiild man, simply wiild I tell ya " )one short to the other ] and the last thing a short wants is to be caught with his shorts down! ( sorry I just made that up, gg ).
Also the beauty of a short position is that you know that you have a large No of buyers who will buy the stock and support the price.
On to 20.
