Personally I wish Naxos would produce a study entitled "The Nature of the Gold at Franklin Lake", similar to the Normet report which ultimately put the stake through the Bre-X heart, when it was released just before the close of trading the last day Bre-X was over 3.00. That report studied the actual physical and geochemical characteristics of the gold reputed to come from the Bre-x site. Why has Naxos never released a study like this? That kind of study can easily prove what kind of gold is being found, not to mention where it came from - like an alluvial source (in the case of Bre-x) instead of a hard rock source, and what the ratios of other indicator minerals say about the geological mode of gold deposition. Grain size, geochemistry, geologically sensible theories of gold deposition are all revealing. I don't think any investors in this company should invest until they get some evidence on these kinds of questions. Sure "gold" was found in a "Chain of Custody" - what kind of gold and where it came from are another matter, yet to be demonstrated with any degree of confidence. With the my personal knowledge of Jimmy John's checkered history firmly at hand, my doubts are exacerbated. And don't forget that even the road to hell is paved with good intentions - this economic climate doesn't take prisoners, and new mine developments are on the back burner, were this to be legit. Where are all the new buyers going to come from? Goldbugs are selecting quality. Just my .02. Cheers.
