There exists a fairly simple way to defeat those photo radar tickets. It's called "Don't exceed the posted speed limit". Works every time!

Don't they send you a picture with the ticket? In the U.S. you get the actual picture they took to issue the citation.

Also, photo radars aren't hidden here, to my knowledge, and there are signs put up to warn you of such. That could vary by state though. I haven't seen any hidden ones here and anyone who has gotten one here gets the picture along with it, so it would be easy enough to figure out where the camera is located anyway.

Just be thankful you don't live in one of the Scandinavian countries. In Norway, for example, a single speeding ticket costs 10% of your annual income. So yes, if you're a high paid executive with an annual salary of $1M you will pay $100,000 for the ticket. They use photo radar there too.
