TO ALL: After becoming more and more disappointed with SuperCharts' and Metastock's optimization routine, I have embarked on a project to build my own program. I'm building the routine in Excel (Visual Basic)... it will allow custom entry/exit criteria, using customized indicators, and will step through a multi-level optimization using up to 100 stocks in the study (no more one-stock-at-a-time!). I'm making it to where it will determine the parameters that will give the best 'profit/trade', or '%winning trades', or 'rate of return', whichever I'm looking for. This will probably not be a blindingly fast program, but I will be able to feed it the information and run it during dinner, or overnight if I want... no more grunting through stock after stock after stock after stock... I'm building it primarily for my own use, but am considering making a 'packaged application'. Anyone interested? If so, give me input, so I can make it helpful to people beyond just me... Loren
