All, Bloomberg News - Microsoft, U.S. in Talks to Resolve Part of Antitrust Fight
(Thu, 22 Jan 1998)

Microsoft Corp. and the U.S. Justice Department are in talks to
resolve some of the issues in their contentious antitrust fight,
a person familiar with the case said. Those discussions could
allow the software giant to avoid a courtroom showdown tomorrow
on Justice Department charges that the company is violating a
court order requiring it to let computer makers delete
Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser from its Windows 95
operating system.

To all:
Just to give you some indication, MSFT trades at 133 7/8 here in Germany and the media puts a very negative spin on Microsoft's cautious statements.
I just wonder if these people ever listened to Microsoft's statements before. They always put it like they will go out of business next quarter to lower the bar ;-)
