I am about as defensive as can be here without being short. It was very tempting to go short the S&P when it fell through 2907 and 2899 today. Problem is there are a huge amount of Bears. AAII recorded only 21% bullish retail investors last week.
I am long SILJ, GDXJ, IAU, SLV, PPLT, HIG, CINF, RLI, CIO, IHIT and a large number of CE MuniBond Funds. The Munis' have done just as well as TLT since the December lows and some have done better. Lots of people looking for tax free income. And the supply/demand dynamic is very bullish.
I sold all my equity ETFs an hour after Trump said he would increase new tariffs on China. I am fed up.
