Hi Steve,

That nasty big oil company bought the technology and buried it.

Meanwhile the jack up fleet is going to work.

XOM ia buying 4 floating drilling ships into 2025.

This is a long term bet that looks like it needs a paradigm shift before it can get on its feet.

From what I gather, these big troughs,often come out with the engineers making some innovations that make the newer gear faster and cheaper to use than the old.

When the price of oil rises, those UDW ships will be in greater demand.

Troubled spots = Libya, Iran, Mexico,Argentina.

Shale production is still growing fast - so fast that demand growth is being kept up with.

Bob
