Teddy, those Iranians have some cheap oil: Iranian officials often warn about the dangers of rising fuel consumption which they blame on waste and some of the lowest, state-subsidised prices in the world. A litre of regular petrol costs 160 rials (5.3 U.S. cents). -------- BTW, First Call est on DO earnings was 57 &cent, with the high est. being 61 &cent, and low est of 54 &cent. So even if you take DO results of basic eps 57 &cent, they met expectation right on. Taking diluted eps of 55 &cent, they missed concensus est by 2 &cent. I'm not sure what analysts were basing est on, basic or diluted.
