I trick my dog into thinking he's getting something off my plate because, let's face it...dogs live for this. I put a mini carrot on my plate before I start to eat, then when I'm finished he watches as I scrape the carrot from my plate into his bowl. Works every time. He gets both canned and dry. I used to microwave his canned food just to warm it up slightly, just to get the chill off, if it came from the fridge. According to Harvey it altered the taste and he didn't like it. Now he gets it straight from the fridge and he scarfs it down. I haven't used my microwave for well over two years and it is just taking up counter space. I really want to get rid of it but I have a feeling the day I toss it, I will need it. For what I don't know but I just know it will happen. ..... I mentioned in another post an injection for his allergies that he got on July 4th. It is still working! After 9 years of suffering and finally relief, I'm having a serious Hallelujah moment especially since this shot will do no damage to his organs and he has no side effects.
