Compaq says 97 Middle East sales up 60 pct

DUBAI, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Compaq Computer Middle East said on Thursday its second half 1997 sales grew 81 percent over the the same period in
1996, bringing revenue growth for the year as a whole to 60 percent.

A company statement gave no value for Middle East turnover.

It said sales grew 75 percent in the United Arab Emirates, 108 percent in Oman, 51 percent in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, 17 percent in Kuwait, 72
percent in Egypt and 86 percent in Bahrain and Jordan.

''We expect strong growth to continue during 1998,'' regional managing director Walid Moneimne said.

It is not cheap, it is because the split adjustment. If the call price is not adjusted after the split,
your value of holding will be doubled immediately !!!!!!!!!!!
